Wrong On Two Mayor Concerns
There is no reason to believe that medical opinion is proof against the general communal retreat from reason and there are two compelling reasons to believe it has been corrupted; the official medical advice concerning diet and the disease of AIDS. Both of which were confirmed by private experience:
- By following contemporary (2000) medical advice my wife's health suffered until she abandoned her specialist doctor's advice and so repeated the documented experience of William Banting in 1864.
- My wife's son needlessly died of AIDS after refusing our pleas to ignore his doctor's advice that his condition was caused by HIV virus, not his lifestyle. So he persevered with his lifestyle until his health completely failed and he died in St Vincent's hospital.
For the medical profession to be wrong on such important and straightforward matters must raise serious doubts that they are now (2002) right about anything. And that placing your life in the hands of medical experts is fraught with danger.
